Any anti-armor weapons are appropriate against them, but it can actually be effective to rush in and bash them with your Wrench, as their melee capabilities leave something to be desired, and they rarely run away from a fight.(This is part of my journey playing through System Shock 2. Strategy: Cyborg Midwives are as close as you can get to a "well balanced" enemy in System Shock 2: they're pretty much average next to all the threats you'll face, with a reasonably effective laser attack, a movement speed that allows them to keep a moderate pace, and enough health to be more than a nuisance to deal with. Weaknesses: Armor-Piercing Bullets, EMP damageĬommon Loot: Midwife Organ, Nanites, Portable Battery Cyborg Midwives are first encountered on Hydroponics, and maintain a presence throughout most of the remaining levels.Īttributes: Medium Hit Points, medium damage, medium attack speed, medium movement speed The end result is a horriffic combination of woman and machine, linked with the Many and tasked with guarding over their eggs. The Cyborg Midwife is a sad product of the Many, created by a doctor aboard the Von Braun who, in a state of Annelid-induced madness, forcefully combined his nursing staff with cybernetics.
